February Meeting and Tour

A technical presentation on functional additives used in coatings (organic matting agents, fire retardants and smoke suppressants) by Mitch Halpert (biography below) of Huber Engineered Materials followed by a tour of 3M Innovation Center on Tuesday, February 20th, 11:30am-2:00pm. The location is at 3M Innovation Center Facilities and Service, 2350 Minnehaha Avenue East, Maplewood, MN 55119 (MAP). The meeting will include lunch which the cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members if registration is made by Friday, February 16th ($20/$25 if registering later).

Speaker Biography: Mitch Halpert has been involved in the coatings business for over 30 years, having worked for Rohm and Haas Company (now Dow), Monson Companies (now Azelis) and Huber Engineered Materials for the last 15 years. He has held positions in sales, sales management, distributor management, marketing, customer care management and regulatory.
