NWSCT Newsletter November 2009

Our November meeting will be on Tuesday November 10, 2009 at 4:30 PM at Erte Restaurant (http://www.ertedining.com/) in Minneapolis. This talk will feature our lobbyist, Jennifer Breitinger. She will discuss issues that are going on at the State Legislature in the areas of coatings and paints.

Jennifer graduated from The American University in Washington D.C., acquiring a Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science. She went on to the University of Cincinnati where she earned her Masters degree in Political Science. She earned her law degree at The National Law Center, George Washington University in Washington D.C. Jennifer has Bar memberships in Minnesota, the District of Columbia, and Virginia. Throughout her career, she has held many positions with various law firms. She is currently the president of JWB Associates in Minneapolis where she has clients that include pharmaceutical companies, state insurance trade associations, national health trade association, insurance risk pool, printing trade association, association of countries, and paint manufacturers. Jennifer is also a member of many professional and community service organizations.

The cost of this meeting will be $20 if you register on our website, http://www.nwsct.org/, using PayPal by Friday, November 6, 2009 and $25 after that date. This cost will include appetizers and a beverage.

Our December meeting will be on Tuesday, December 8 and will feature a talk from a representative of the Minnesota State Lottery. Time and location are still to be determined.

Announcements and Upcoming Events:

- Winter Outing: The annual NWSCT Winter Outing is scheduled from January 22nd to 24th at Cragun's Resort. More details to come, but mark your calendars for this popular, fun-filled event.

- Poker Tournament: We are planning on hosting the 3rd annual NWSCT Poker Tournament on Friday, February 26, 2010. There will be more details to come. Everyone who attended this event the past two years had a great time.
