NWSCT Newsletter October 2009

Our September meeting was a lunch meeting at Cabela's in Rogers. Our featured speaker, Al Heitkamp, presented his very informative talk, "Ten Coating Challenges Or Problems The Industry Keeps Secret." We had 18 members attend the meeting.

Our annual Fall Classic Golf Outing was held at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids. The weather was perfect for this fun-filled event. A special thanks goes to the sponsors of the event: Chem/Serv, Inc., Geroge C. Brandt, Inc., Huntsman Tioxide, Imerys Performance Minerals, Commerce Industrial Chemicals, The M.F. Cachat Company, GMZ, Univar, The Chidley & Peto Company, Cortec, Ashland, Consolidated Container Company, The Cary Company. Also a big thank you goes to the golf committee for organizing and running the event.

We will not be holding an October meeting due to the 29th Biennial Western Coatings Society Symposium and Show from October 25-28 in Las Vegas.

Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 10th. No time, location, speaker, or cost has been determined at this point. Look for an announcement about this meeting in the near future.
