October 2015 Newsletter
Our monthly meeting schedule resumed in October with a meeting at Cortec in White Bear on October 13th. We heard from two technical speakers: Mike Knight of Polynt presented on Next Generation Polyester Dispersions and Rich Flecksteiner or Omnova presented on Latex Resin for use in Zero VOC DTM Coatings. We had 38 attendees for this meeting. Thanks again to Cortec for hosting us.
Our monthly meetings are typically held on the second Tuesday of the month from October – April. Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 10th at HB Fuller in Vadnais Heights. They are located at 1200 Willow Lake Boulevard, Building B, Vadnais Heights, MN 55110. Presenting to us is Stuart Lipskin of Byk USA who will discuss “Pursuit for the Perfect Coatings Finish”. The meeting will start at 11:30 am and include lunch. We will wrap up by 1:30 pm.
The cost for the meeting is $15 for members and $20 for non-members if registration is made by Friday, November 6th ($20/$25 if registering later). Please contact Eric Scholl (scholl.e@minutemanintl.com) if you plan to attend the meeting but will not be paying via PayPal so that we can get an accurate head count for lunch. Membership
Our Membership registration is underway for the new year (September – August). You can follow the link to our membership page and fill out an application to join or renew. Individual Memberships are $25 per year and Corporate Memberships are available ($100 for 4-9 people; $200 for 10-19 people and $400 for 20-29 people). Members receive discounted rates for monthly meetings and have access to electronic copies of presentations provided to the NWSCT.

Tuesday, February 9th: Monthly Meeting at 3M. Q-Lab and 3M will present.
Tuesday, March 8th: Monthly Meeting at BASF. Clariant will present.
Tuesday, April 19th: Annual Education Symposium at Valspar.
We will also host a Winter Outing and Texas Hold Em Tournament in early '16.

Scholarship Program
We have launched a Scholarship program that will award individual scholarships to the son or daughter of an active member of the NWSCT in good standing. Applications are available at monthly meetings and on our website.
