NWSCT Newsletter September 2009 After taking the Summer months off, the NWSCT is ready to get back in the swing of things. This year we will be trying some new, creative, and exciting locations and times for our monthly meetings with the hope of getting more people to attend.
Our September meeting will be a lunch meeting on Monday, September 14, 2009 at Cabela's in Rogers (20200 Rogers Dr.). A buffet lunch will be included with registration payment. Registration will be from 12:00 to 12:30. The cost of this meeting will be $20 if you register online by September 7, 2009 and $25 after that date. Click here to register and pay online.
The featured topic for this meeting will be "TEN COATING "CHALLENGES" OR PROBLEMS THE INDUSTRY KEEPS SECRET." Sooner or later, a major and costly coating or raw material failure occurs, which is unacceptable to any customer. These situations or similar ones can be repeated because firms do not share their experiences with their competitors. Al Heitkamp will relate the top ten coating and coating raw material challenges encountered in his 42 years of industry experience. In addition, he will describe a step-by-step procedure to determine the "root cause" and a remedy route for future unpleasant situations that attendees may encounter.
The next meeting will be at the Bulldog N.E. in Minneapolis on Tuesday, October 13th at 4:30 PM. No speaker or cost has been determined at this point.
- Fall Golf Outing: The annual Fall Classic Golf Outing is scheduled for Tuesday, September 15th at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids. Registration will open at 11:30 AM. Click here for more details and a printable registration form.
